I can really relate to this cat. I always have this look on my face when I wake up and it is Monday.

Tech Tip: Canvas Mobile App

I already had the canvas mobile app. I don't use it that often because I usually always have my laptop with me. It is just like the desktop version and I really like that part of it. It is easy to navigate which is important. When I use it, I often find my self looking at the syllabus for homework!

Google Timer Tech Tip

I enjoyed using the Google Timer. It allowed me to fully submerge myself into the reading that I am doing. I often find myself reading to get the material read, rather than doing it to fully understand. Having the timer allowed me to read the material then realize I read it way too fast, so I would go back and read it once more.

The timer is also useful in other classes or just when you are hanging around. I have to take study breaks about every hour, but sometimes I get caught up in the social media post I am reading. Having the timer will allow me to see that I might be using too much time taking breaks.

I definitely plan on using the Google Timer in the future for all of my assignments!

Tech Tip: Twitter Follow

I decided to follow President Boren on twitter! I think that he is so great... and also adorable!

I admire his love for the university and the Norman community! He has had to make a lot of tough calls over his years of being the president, but he does a great job! He is awesome!

Tech Tip: Blogger Template!

Attention! I have changed my blog template!!

Not very exciting news but you can do it too! It's very simple! Click template on the left hand side menu and just click on the different ones until you find one that you like (except don't use Dynamic Views). The one I chose is a blue sky with a dandelion and grass. I thought that it was aesthetically pleasing and just super cute!

Thanks for checking out this blog post!

Introduction to an animal lover

Hi! My name is Hannah Rutherford and I am a sophomore here at OU. I am from The Woodlands, TX – which is just North of Houston. I absolutely love OU and couldn’t imagine being at any other university. I just switched my major from pre-nursing to Human Relations. I quickly realized that nursing wasn’t for me and was able to switch! Once I graduate with an HR degree, I hope to get my masters and become a Licensed Professional Counselor and somehow incorporate therapy animals to further help people!

Speaking of animals, I am an extreme animal lover. I have two dogs and two cats at home. My two dogs are Shih Tzus and they are named Shamu and Bella. My two cats are named Maverick and Goose. They are the sweetest animals and I miss them a lot when I am here in Oklahoma. Once I am out of college I dream of having a Golden Retriever, a corgi, and a couple cats! I just think they are the best!

I often find myself watching Netflix in my spare time. My favorite shows include Grey’s Anatomy, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, and The Office. I would call myself a Netflix addict because I watch way too much! I always say I am going to watch less Netflix… but that probably won’t happen!

Over the break I mostly stayed home and was a couch potato (which was great and I loved every second of it). I was fortunate enough to be able to go to the Sugar Bowl and watch the Sooners beat Auburn! It was such a fun game and I had a really great trip with all of my friends.

Music has always been a big part of my life. I have been playing percussion for 10 years now! I started when I was in 5th grade and have continued through out high school and college. I just completed my second year in the Pride and it has been a lot of fun! I have met some of my best friends through band and we all share the same passion which is pretty cool!

I am looking forward to this semester and to creating my blog!

I hope you all have a great day!
